which exact smarthub version is included in this kit? only VMB4540 or VMB5000 has the local storage and view possibility without subscription therefore it is important to know

VMB4540 is included. To watch those videos you need to be within your network. The Iphone application suggests to setup a VPN if external access is required.

I can't tell you what exactly is possible with out subsricption as I still use the 6 month for free voucher.
