With the Tapo C211 network camera, the alarm sound is not played directly on the device when an alarm is triggered in the app. The alarm function can be activated in the app to trigger a notification and an alarm sound on the smartphone when motion or events are detected. Although the device itself has a loudspeaker, the alarm sound is primarily controlled via the app and not played on the camera device itself.

Only with certain Tapo cameras that are connected to a hub (e.g. Tapo C420) can the hub trigger an alarm sound when the camera detects an event. This hub alarm function is not described for the Tapo C211.
