D-Link Smart Plug
I am trying to use the plug in an older house. Google Nest mini works. The sockets available in the house only have two wires (no protective earth). Is it possible that this is why the plug cannot be paired?
Without the protective conductor, the plug cannot actually be plugged in! Except with a manipulated extension cable...
Theoretically, it should actually work without the protective earth conductor, the connection is made via the existing WLAN. However, I also needed 3 - 4 attempts when pairing via the app.
At the beginning, the plug offers its own WLAN DSP-w115-XXX to which you must connect.
