Hello Romueller. I am an IOS user but I think the Galaxy S5 should be compatible with Android 6 or higher, if you mean Android Auto. With the SPH DA 230, the connection is still via USB (no wireless). In my opinion, you have to download and install the Android Auto app.
and install it.
