I also cannot find any information about the batteries, i.e. the size / AAA, AA, C, D, LiPo18650.
I would depend on this to make a decision.

Ciao Baldibär,

The torch needs 3 AAA batteries and the wavelength is supposed to be 395-400nm. I own it too, and am actually completely satisfied with it. 

I had been interested in the wavelength for a long time, but hadn't done any better research on the internet yet... I was planning to take it to school last week to measure the wavelength during the physics lesson :DD but unfortunately I forgot to do it in the end...

I just saw...the information you asked for is all on the pictures (picture 2 for the wavelength and picture 4 concerning batteries)....... you have to open your eyes :')
