The VOTRONIC solar controllers with MPP technology represent the top tier of solar charge controllers. A microprocessor utilizes the Maximum Power Point (MPP) of the solar module and determines the maximum power output of the solar system multiple times per second. It converts the voltage surplus into a higher charging current for the battery. This increase in charging current leads to shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's performance. The MPP controllers are designed with high-frequency switching regulator technology for high efficiency, and particularly high-quality components minimize losses to a minimum. The increase in charging current of the VOTRONIC MPP solar controllers is approximately 10 to 30% compared to conventional controllers. This advantage is especially noticeable in cooler seasons, in cooler holiday regions, or with solar modules that have a higher number of cells. Solar modules with consistently higher solar module voltage combined with an MPP controller generate maximum power in a small area. The VOTRONIC solar charge controllers of the MPP series operate fully automatically and ensure optimal charging of the onboard batteries without overcharging them. An intelligent microprocessor control ensures precise adherence to charging voltages and currents according to the specifications of the battery manufacturers. Additionally, it monitors the battery and provides immediate recharging when power is consumed.
