The Connection Box is used as a connection or extension for standard shielded or unshielded twisted pair installation cables (CAT 5e, CAT 6, CAT 7) in cases of cable damage, cable extensions, and cable rerouting. This means that the cable segments of a structured cabling system do not need to be re-laid. As a result, the effort and costs associated with changes are minimized. It can connect 6 incoming and 6 outgoing 8-wire cables without significantly affecting the transmission characteristics or limiting the maximum link lengths. Installation is carried out using an LSA punch-down tool.
