With the appropriate monitoring system and correct wiring, these switches can achieve safety category 4 according to EN/ISO 13849-1, PL e according to EN/ISO 13849-1, and SIL 3 according to EN/IEC 61508. Safety limit switches Series XCSD. The industrial compact limit switches of the XCSD series from Schneider are designed for monitoring access doors and/or protective devices on machines with low inertia as well as on machines with high inertia when used in combination with actuator-operated safety device switches. When used independently, they are always installed in the "positive mode," but when paired, one switch is installed in the "positive mode" and the other switch in the "negative mode." Available with a switch for linear movement (plunger) or rotary movement (lever). Normally open contacts with forced opening. Slow-opening changeover contacts with interruption. Red metal housing. One cable entry with thread, M20 x 1.5. The head on the rotary movement switch (lever) is adjustable in 15° steps over 360°. Linear movement switches (plunger) only with approach to the end. Protection class IP66/67 according to EN/IEC 60529. Complies with ROHS.
