The soil probe is made of stainless steel and is a technical tool for detecting (feeling) soil layers of different densities without the need to dig up the soil. It can be used to identify problematic soil zones in the crumb layer that hinder root growth (too loose, too dense), as well as plow or tractor pans and general compaction. Additionally, it serves to determine differences in soil types (e.g., loess on clay or peat on sand) within the soil profile.
