This device is designed to reduce the starting torque. The starting current in one phase is reduced, while the current in the other phases remains unchanged. If necessary, a soft start module for three-phase motors can be used in applications that require current reduction. It is a three-phase soft start module. These compact soft start modules reduce the starting torque of three-phase asynchronous motors (squirrel cage motors) up to 5.5 kW. They operate on the principle of phase control in one phase, while the others are directly connected to the motor. These soft start modules limit the starting torque and significantly reduce mechanical shocks that occur during direct starting. The modules have the following features and benefits: very compact module for mounting on 35 mm DIN rail, easy to retrofit, separately adjustable starting torque and ramp-up time, combinable with the electronic RS injection brake module to create a complete motor control system. An EC Declaration of Conformity according to the EMC and Low Voltage Directive (radio interference according to Class B) as well as a detailed information sheet are included.
