I have received the plug, but its German counterpart has no space for the plastic knobs that protrude from the plug. Can these be cut off without hesitation?

hi nicolas it's been a long time since i bought this plug but to my knowledge i didn't have to cut it away the combination fitted without any problems

I left out the moisture seal when I assembled the plug to my rice cooker... Would it be a problem? :(

It shouldn't be a problem as long as there's not a single gap between the two pieces, and that there is not too much humidity around the plug.

How can it be that the exact same plugs in the Migros cost less than half as much I think it can't be because of the quantity?

The high price is for those people who do not know their rights and iron out possible mistakes by Digitec at their own expense... ;-) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Digitec (or any other Swiss dealer) is obliged to deliver electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance is supplied with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected, a suitable adapter should be supplied. If the appliance is delivered without a suitable plug, complain to the customer service and insist on a cable or an adapter, free of charge. Yes, this adapter allows you to switch from a CEE_7/17 (German) plug https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#CEE_7/17_unearthed_plug to a type C (Swiss) plug without earthing. The type C plug is 100% compatible with the type J plug https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#10_A_plugs_and_sockets_(Type_J)
