hi nicolas it's been a long time since i bought this plug but to my knowledge i didn't have to cut it away the combination fitted without any problems
It shouldn't be a problem as long as there's not a single gap between the two pieces, and that there is not too much humidity around the plug.
Yes, this adapter allows you to switch from a CEE_7/17 (German) plug https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#CEE_7/17_unearthed_plug to a type C (Swiss) plug without earthing. The type C plug is 100% compatible with the type J plug https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#10_A_plugs_and_sockets_(Type_J)
