The overload switches of the EC series from Phoenix are designed for electronic devices. A combination of active electronic current limitation in the event of a short circuit and overload disconnection ensures that the overload switch can respond to overloads faster than the switching power supply. It provides selective protection for all 24 V dc load circuits from switching power supplies. The fault current is always limited to 1.3 to 1.8 times the rated current.
