• Application recommendation: The material removal rate should be increased by using a coarser grit rather than by increasing the pressure to avoid unnecessary tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece. Use suitable grinding oil for the material to significantly enhance the lifespan and grinding performance of the tools. Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface finish. Increasing the pressure leads to a somewhat coarser surface. The softer the material being processed, the coarser the surface will be. Reducing the pressure and peripheral speed, as well as adding grinding oil, decreases tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece. For optimal performance, use a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between material removal rate, surface finish, thermal stress on the workpiece, and tool wear.
• Processable materials: Grey cast iron/spheroidal graphite (GG/GJL, GGG/GJS), copper, aluminum, cast iron, stainless steel (INOX), steel castings, hardened and tempered steels over 1,200 N/mm² (54 HRC), steels up to 1,200 N/mm². In commercial use, building regulations must be observed.
