The NH system is assigned to the plug-in fuse systems and is composed as follows: fuse base (possibly with terminal covers and phase cover), fuse-links with contact blades, device for replacing the fuse-links (low-voltage plug-on handle). Maintenance and servicing must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel. NH fuse-links of utilization class gG are used to protect lines, equipment, and installations. They safely switch off impermissible overcurrents and short-circuit currents up to the rated breaking current. Fuse links gG also protect electrical equipment and installations against the electrodynamic effects of high short-circuit currents. VDE 0636 part 201, IEC 60269-1 and -2.
