The DCM305E serves as a leakage current clamp for efficient measurement of earth leakage currents. You can also perform TRMS current measurements (AC) up to 100 A. The device offers six measurement ranges: 6 mA, 60 mA, 600 mA, 6 A, 60 A, and 100 A, with a minimum resolution of 0.001 mA in the 6 mA range. You can select either an automatic or a manual measurement range. A low-pass filter (50/60 Hz) enhances your measurements in circuits with harmonics, also known as electrical noise, which often leads to incorrect readings. Additionally, you can utilize a convenient comparison function with three preset limits for the leakage current (0.25, 0.50, 3.5 mA). When this function is activated, a visual display and an audible alert will occur if the preset limit is exceeded. For hard-to-read measurements where accessibility is an issue, you can use the "Auto-Hold" and "Data-Hold" functions. An automatic backlight also aids in better visibility of the display, which includes 6,000 digits. Furthermore, the DCM305E supports a peak hold option.
