The Green Up socket from Legrand is a performance-optimized socket designed for the safe and fast charging (especially protected) of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles with charging cables for Mode 1 and 2.

Robustly designed socket with surface-treated metal contacts, which can also be used as a conventional protective contact socket. Installation should preferably be carried out by a qualified electrical professional.

The specially integrated reed contact ensures that the e-vehicle charger can provide a higher charging current. This allows for a reduced charging time of up to 3 hours within permissible limits (max. 16A).

The prerequisite for achieving a shorter charging time is the presence of a charging cable with the appropriate Green Up protective contact plug, equipped with a reed contact.

The Green Up technology detects lower temperatures, allowing higher currents to be released for faster charging. This represents a significant difference compared to conventional protective contact sockets.

The socket should be protected by a 3 x 2.5mm² cable with a residual current/overcurrent circuit breaker. Single-pole + N, C-characteristic, rated current 16A, rated residual current 30mA, Type A or Type F, compliant with IEC-60884-1.
