The Homematic IP dimmer socket is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and can dim and switch lights connected via plug. The dimming actuator is designed as a compact intermediate plug so that it does not block any adjacent sockets once plugged in. Since the actuator is a phase cut-off dimmer, the dimmer socket can dim and switch on or off classic incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, dimmable energy-saving lamps and most dimmable LED lamps. The fully electronic phase cut-off dimmer is especially optimized for energy-saving lamps with a switching capacity between 3 and 80 VA. The modern electronics make operation without any noise possible. The light output can be dimmed directly on the device or conveniently in 1-% steps by radio via a remote control, a wall switch or the free smartphone app.
