Convenient locking, unlocking, and opening of the front door is now possible at any time while on the move or from the sofa, simply via the Homematic IP app or key ring remote control. Another advantage is secure locking of the door via voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Thanks to configurable access authorizations, access to the smart home can be managed individually, regardless of the day of the week or time. The front door can only be opened when the resident wants it to, allowing cleaning staff or care services to enter the house at certain times using the keychain remote control. The app also logs which door was opened and when, making time-dependent locking unnecessary. At a desired time, the front door can be automatically locked, enhancing security in the smart home and saving unnecessary trips to the front door. For added safety, the front door can be set to automatically lock again after each unlocking, with timing and delay times adjustable via the app. The door lock drive benefits from the VDE-certified protocol, IT, and data security of the Homematic IP system. Due to its mounting on the inside of the door, the device is not visible from the outside. It can be simply mounted on standard profile cylinders with emergency and danger functions without damaging the door, frame, or key. Battery operation means no wiring is necessary. For installation, the lock cylinder must protrude 8-15 mm on the inside of the door. Up to 8 access authorizations with individual time profiles can be created per door lock drive. Manual opening and closing is possible at any time using the rotary wheel (emergency function), and the door can still be opened from the outside with an ordinary key. Personal PINs protect against unintentional operation via the app.
