The ALU welding rods (ALMG 5 - 3.3556) from Elmag are specifically designed for TIG welding of aluminum-magnesium alloys. With a diameter of 2.0 mm and a length of 1000 mm, these welding rods provide a reliable solution for various welding applications. They are ideal for processing under argon shielding gas and ensure high quality of the weld seams. The use of these welding rods is particularly recommended for larger workpieces and wall thicknesses over 15 mm, with preheating to 150 to 200 °C required. The welding rods comply with the standards EN ISO 18273 - AL 5356 and are suitable for use with TIG alternating current. They are manufactured in Germany and offer high tensile strength as well as yield strength, making them an excellent choice for professional welding work.
