Clairefontaine Pastel Primer Pastel Revolution, 500ml Pot

This absorbent primer for pastel chalks is ideal for drawings with pastels or charcoal on canvas. Once dry, it becomes almost transparent and can be tinted with water-based colors or pastel powders. The surface gains a gripping texture with the primer, making the canvas texture visible. The pastel primer is easily thinned.

Instructions for use: Stir well. Add a little water to an unprepared canvas to dilute the primer. Apply alternately in lines in one direction and then the other using a brush, sponge, or roller. Depending on the desired result, 2 to 3 layers of primer may be necessary. Allow to dry thoroughly between layers. Lightly sand the dry surface to achieve a velvety finish. Draw with pastel chalks and fix the drawing with Clairefontaine's Hafter Pastel Revolution for enhanced effectiveness. Rinse the materials used immediately after use.
