Description: The voltage tester C.A 742 is an essential tool for any electrician to check for voltage absence before working on an electrically connected system. It complies with the IEC 61243-3 Ed. 3 standard and can therefore be used in all outdoor and indoor installations of category 600 V CAT IV. To meet specific standards and regulations applicable in some countries, there are two order numbers - with and without IP2X accessories. The C.A 742 features an ELV LED that blinks when a voltage of more than 50 VAC or 120 VDC is present, providing a redundant safety system. During the comprehensive self-test of the C.A 742, the electrical circuits, power supply, displays, and the condition of the measuring leads are checked. The test probe and leads are removable. With the optional adapter C.A 753, testing on protective contact sockets can be done quickly and easily.
