The RCD Block (RCU) is designed for customer-side installation with high-performance circuit breakers from the S800 series. The resulting RCD/MCB combinations (RCBOs) provide equipment protection as well as protection against electrically ignited fires. They ensure protection for 2P, 3P, or 4P circuits against overload and short-circuit currents, protection against sinusoidal alternating currents and pulsating currents with a smooth DC residual current component of up to 6 mA to ground. Additionally, they provide fault protection (protection against indirect contact), supplementary protection (with I?n = 30 mA), and fire protection (with I?n = 300 mA). They comply with the product standard IEC/EN 60947-2. Areas of application include industrial applications.
