Moin , I have unfortunately no idea about the scooter, wanted to buy the gladly for my mother. What do I have to pay attention to now, I only ever read about road approval. Do I have to register and insure the scooter like a car? Or is the scooter also allowed to be ridden here like a bicycle?

Helpful answer
Good morning.
Approved means that you can drive it on public
on public roads. In Switzerland, only scooters up to 20 km/h are allowed, otherwise you don't need insurance. If your mother wants to ride it more often in steeper passages, I would choose a scooter with more engine power.

Thank you for your quick answer,
So in the end, you can use the scooter on bike paths, just not on the road?
