Can you use this thing without a mobile phone? I know several seniors at the old people's home who would like exactly this because they saw it at a friend's house. Some of them also have a mobile phone. Not all of them, though. And the ones who have one felt completely overwhelmed by the app when I showed it to them. "I just want the watch that counts steps and kilometres," they said repeatedly. Would that work?
