The active carbon filter of the drinking bottle is designed to filter tap water, i.e. chlorine and other elements that impair the taste are filtered out, while minerals remain contained. This makes the bottle suitable for filtering tap water in other countries.

But beware, the filter does not filter bacteria, viruses, etc. out of the water. So depending on which country you want to drink the tap water in, you would also need another filter. This one is only for the taste.
