This Thule axle adapter ensures a secure connection between a Thule bike trailer and the bicycle. The axle adapter is required for Maxle bikes with a 12 mm rear axle, for bikes with a hub gear system, or for bikes with a frame geometry that makes attaching the axle coupling difficult.
