Step 1: Create the relief. Start by creating the desired relief that will be underneath the grip. Use rings between your fingers or simply stick the grip over the old tape.

Step 2: Center it. Center the grip with your thumb in the middle of the hockey stick and hold it until step 4.

Step 3: Leave 1 cm. It is important to leave about 1 cm from the knob outward before heating the hockey grip.

Step 4: Start at the top. First, you need to start on the knob side. Remember to keep your thumb in place until the top is fully shrunk and secured.

Step 5: Rotate slowly. Slowly rotate the hockey stick while applying the grip; it should shrink evenly on all sides.

Step 6: You’re done. Finally, let it cool for a few minutes.
