Thanks to POC's patented VPD material, which adapts individually to body temperature, the protector is extremely flexible. It meets the Level 1 (CE EN 1621-1) standard, offers good ventilation, lies flat, and fits under any jersey. The VPD (viscoelastic polymer dough) product line provides extreme shock absorption, allowing POC to take a completely different approach to the development of protectors. VPD is highly shock-absorbing, comfortable, and conforms to the body. To create a personalized fit and due to its high level of protection, as well as its ability to switch from soft to hard upon impact, you don't have to choose between safety and flexibility. Many protectors are lightweight but may not be optimal for shock absorption. Some can absorb a shock with good cushioning, but a second impact on the protector transmits a much higher amount of energy to the user, and a third even more, and so on. VPD material maintains the same high absorption rate, which is an important characteristic for POC, as they believe that a protector must withstand multiple impacts during a fall and throughout its lifespan.
