How to Extend the Lifespan of Your Disc Brake Pads
Breaking in disc brake pads significantly extends their lifespan. Gently press them in and ensure that the pad makes audible contact with the brake disc for about 100 meters at a speed of ±25 km/h. Now, apply a bit more pressure on the brake so that the speed decreases to about 5 km/h, and then gradually increase the speed while gently applying the brake. Repeat this 10-12 times, and the pads will be broken in. Never come to a complete stop while the brake is still engaged to avoid damaging the brake disc. Always break in the front and rear brakes separately.
