Well, I haven't found a thread cutter (I haven't used it that much yet) and there's nothing in the instruction manual either. So I think this is still the older version.

Mine has a small light bulb in it and there is no thread cutter. It's probably the older version, but it's definitely useful for my purposes.

The 2023 Gritzner Overlook has a very good LED light. We have not noticed a thread cutter; my wife always uses the scissors. She says that the thread should not be cut too short.
This new Overlook sewing machine is very easy to work with and the sewing results are perfect!
