My experience: The appliance is actually good for everything. Only: to chop half an onion and nothing else, the cleaning effort is too great in my opinion (the "lid" consists of three parts that are all cleaned).

I deliberately chose the CS 4200XL for our 3-person household in order to have a reserve. It's not worth using the Magimix to chop half an onion. But you haven't cooked or eaten with half an onion. As a rule, other ingredients (vegetables) have to be processed, and using the Magimix with its wide range of accessories makes perfect sense and is a great relief.
