My newly ordered Dyson AM09 has a noticeable hum in standby (switched off). Is this a problem with this model in general or did I get a model that came from a maker? Can you also hear a humming noise with your Dyson fan?

Had the same problem with a Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower. After sending it for repair, I received a new replacement model that is absolutely silent.
