The toaster is also closed all around with the triangular plate, the cheese stays inside. Liquid (from tomatoes, cucumbers etc) runs out of the toast into the triangular mould, but stays in the mould cavity and does not run out of the toaster onto the table, as it would need more liquid. I make the toasts in the flat meat shape as I don't like crushed toast.
The toaster doesn't have an on/off switch, the only downside to this toaster. I solve this with an extension cord with a switch.
