Is it possible to connect a hose to this model to drain the water directly? And if so, where is this hose connection located? On the back?

Yes, that is possible. It has a drainage opening at the back and with a 14mm inner diameter hose or pipe you can drain the water directly, the hose must run downhill and must not be kinked. A great device!!!

Here is the description on the ecofort homepage:

The ecoQ DryAir 35L can also be used for direct drainage, so the water tank no longer needs to be emptied and the dehumidifier does its job completely autonomously. All you need is the appropriate hose.

I've never had to connect the appliance to a water outlet. I don't think it's necessary, except when used in a particularly hot and humid environment (tropical type).
