Question about De'Longhi Lattissima Touch

I recently ordered this machine from galaxus. I am now trying to set the water hardness. According to the instructions, I have to press the lungo and milk foam button for 3 seconds. But when I do this, it immediately starts preparing the lungo - just as it would if the milk foam button didn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something defective?

Your machine is in order. The procedure for setting the water hardness is correctly described.
BUT: Point 4 requires that the two buttons be pressed "simultaneously". There is absolutely no leeway here: "simultaneously" must really be implemented in this way. There must not be 10 seconds between the touching of these keys! My procedure: two fingers hover over the keys - and lower themselves "simultaneously"! That works.
Never before have I had to implement "simultaneously" so uncompromisingly with any device.
