I am looking for the cordless vacuum cleaner with the best repairability. How does the Philips compare to other manufacturers? I read that the Philips battery is not replaceable by the consumer.

Exactly, the battery is not replaceable. But you can send the hoover to Philips to have the battery replaced. I don't know how expensive that is.
