Has this fryer temperature control - which range? Is it good for frying tempura - some wheat may mix with oil - cleaning filter retaining wheat?
Oh, and the temperature range is 150 - 190.
No, it really isn't. I'm not sure about the filter in this case, but this really is a low-oil fryer - it works by putting foods into the basket, and then rotating the basket through the oil. Tempuras and other wet batters, as I found out by using a beer-batter for some fish, adhere the fried articles to the basket. It was still delicious, but defeated the purpose.
I'd recommend I classical deep fryer for that use. I don't intend on buying another deep fryer, but if I could go back, I'd change my mind on this one for that reason.
