Does the S6 Pure work without an internet connection? For example, can it be programmed over direct Wi-fi or through a local Wi-fi not connected to the internet?

No I don't think so, however I have made a connection through the hotspot of my mobile without any problem, wi-fi 2.4 ghz of course, however pay attention to the size of your home as it needs its constant connection, it must be of good quality, it is a great product with excellent value for money.
