Question about WMF Kitchen Minis rice cooker

Does anyone understand the timer function? I want to fill the cooker with rice and water at 08:00 and have it start cooking by itself at 11:30, then turn off when done. Just as you would expect from a timer. Is that even possible? I don't understand what the manual says about the timer. I was also confused. It seems to me that this is not possible. You also can't soak pulses for some time first and then cook them. I just use it to cook rice, which works fine. All the other functions are rather useless.
