My old iron is getting on in years, so a new one had to be purchased.
This iron is great, glides great on clothes. It has a good coating on the hot surface.
With the precision tip, you get super into every crease on shirts and have a perfect ironing result. Alternatively, you can hang the shirt over a hanger and iron this vertically. Super thing.
What I find super, it has an XXL water tank, so it can be "steamed" longer.
The functions of the iron are easy to understand and you don't have to read the instructions beforehand.

My impression of the Tefal ULTRAGLISS PLUS FV6820 steam iron is as follows.
It heats up quickly and the steam function with a powerful steam burst of 260g/minute delivers smooth garments. Even stubborn wrinkles are no problem. The powerful steam burst means that the nevertheless quite small water tank has to be refilled quickly. If you see this as a big problem, then you are better off with a steam ironing station.
The shut-off function, which is obligatory for me, provides more safety. The cable has a high-quality finish as does the coating. It glides very well over the various fabrics. The design is appealing. And I like that it's "Made in France."
The stand is slightly wider which is good for stability. Unfortunately, it is too wide for my mount on the ironing board, so the iron always gets stuck.
I would recommend it further!
I have always considered ironing a necessary evil. Since I love to sew - from make-up bags to children's clothes - I know that it is not only important to wash the fabric before processing, but also to iron it to get an optimal sewing result. With different types of fabric I have succeeded so far more or less well. The Tefal Ultragliss Plus FV6820 delivered a flawless result with all types of fabric. It glided over the fabrics without any problems and also smoothed out deep wrinkles caused by the storage of the fabrics without distorting or deforming the fabrics. I also noticed the short heat-up phase and the good heat distribution over the entire ironing surface. Ironing on small iron-on pictures was possible without any problems with the tip. With its red color, I also like it visually very much and definitely makes this unloved activity much better for me. All around recommended!
As long-time Tefal steam iron users, we were curious to see if Tefal had managed any further development.
First the good news, yes, Tefal has significantly improved both the steam ironing performance and the gliding properties, so the iron can be absolutely recommended.
Especially firm and heavy cotton fabrics can be ironed almost effortlessly.
Nevertheless, there is one star deduction, because the user manual is very hard to read with tiny pictures and no descriptions. In particular, descaling is almost impossible to see for this model. Furthermore, the chic red casing unfortunately makes it very difficult to see the water level. The last drawback is that, unlike the old model, a measuring cup is no longer included.
Basically, however, a clear purchase recommendation, since the important features of an iron are absolutely convincing.
