Evapolar evaLIGHT Plus
3.50 m², 1190 BTU/h
The evaLight Plus cools pleasantly in the immediate environment and directly in the air flow during the first hours. Afterwards, however, the humidity is so high that the air feels unpleasant (tropical house says hello) and the effect of the fan or the evaporation effect decreases noticeably.
The product description exaggerates so massively that I feel quite cheated after the purchase (even if from a purely legal point of view, there is probably no fraud). I cannot imagine with the best will in the world that the device can cool a noticeable amount of air under summer conditions by 15 °C.

First of all: It is not an air conditioner, it is an evaporator.
It cools the air by a few degrees when emitted, moreover, the humidity is higher and thus it also feels refreshing. While working on the table or on the nightstand it works great, mobile you can also use the thing with a battery pack - but I have not tried yet. It is not meant to cool down a whole room. Under maximum speed with lighting at 50% the consumption is 8.9 watts.

It really amazes me every time I turn on the cube that the concept works, but as long as you stay in the small comfort area (2-3 m²) you actually feel quite comfortable despite the otherwise prevailing heat in the rest of the room. With the small area, of course, larger movements are impossible, so it's really only useful for office or couch use.... At least it can be easily transported and also operated quite comfortably with a powerbank.
Unpleasant: The water container has to be refilled constantly and if you don't use it 100% correctly, you have a puddle on the desk... if you then dare to fill the container directly from a bottle (without taking it out of the device) and a little spills, the display backlight immediately breaks and you can no longer read anything on it...

Does not even cool the device itself

It expels cold air over one or two meters. Very practical in summer, more efficient than a fan. However, you should not expect it to cool a room, it is not a real air conditioner

The small cube actually cools, but only just the area from 1m to 2m in front of the unit.
So I put it in the office next to the monitor and wouldn't give it away again.
The air comes out the front about 5 to 8 degrees cooler.
Definitely better than my old fan.

The product works super well even after several months. The tests with the power supply show that it is 100% possible only with the original power supply without loss of performance. Needs just a little space, but is arrangeable.
What I am missing is instructions on how to replace the cardridge without damage. According to the instructions, this would have to be replaced after about 6 months. I also notice this because it has been smelly for a few months at the beginning when the device is started. I would still have to order a replacement cardridge....

I was able to buy the device during a promotion for 99. It does what it must, but really only in a small area. I have placed the cube on the desk and now have significantly cooler at work.

The evalight Plus allows you to cool your personal space significantly. Being in a rather hot co-working space, it allows me to work without "dying" of heat. Not being an air conditioner but a kind of humidifier, the air is not dry which is clearly a plus for me.
Be careful if you leave the office and leave the device on, if the water tank is empty, it does not turn off! So the air that will come out will be hot air!
However, it is possible to set a timer to control when the unit is turned off.

You do get some freshness directly in front of the device. However, the colleagues all around enjoy the damp heat after a short time.
