Product details

Customize your living space according to your desired time or reduce your energy consumption through the monitoring of windows and doors. With this starter set, getting started with greater energy efficiency and automated control of your radiators is very easy. This set includes two of our smart radiator thermostats, our smart door and window contact, and our Smart Home hub, the Gateway premium.

The smart radiator thermostat is an electronic radiator thermostat for controlling a radiator valve and regulating room temperature. The actuator features a boost function, frost protection detection, valve protection, and an adjustable operating lock. The frost protection detection prevents the room temperature from dropping below four degrees, while an automatic valve drive protects against calcification of the valve, and the boost function allows for quick heating of a room. The illuminated display can be rotated 180°.

The thermostat can be integrated into the HOMEPILOT Smart Home via the Gateway premium and can also be controlled through the HOMEPILOT app. This allows you to control your radiators remotely at any time via the app. Manual operation is still possible through buttons on the device. The adjustable temperature range is between 4 and 28 °C.

The included door and window contact is a battery-operated radio sensor with magnetic field technology for monitoring the status of windows and doors. Its extra slim design makes it unique in the Smart Home sector. This allows the sensor to be discreetly installed in the window frame, making it invisible from both the inside and outside. Thanks to its two operating modes, the device can be used on both windows and doors. In combination with our smart radiator thermostat, the door and window contact can, for example, inform the HOMEPILOT Smart Home system that a window has been opened, allowing the heating to be adjusted accordingly.

Smart radiator thermostats can save up to 30 per cent on heating costs. The intelligent radiator thermostats can be operated manually or via a smartphone app. They offer extensive setting options, such as timer-controlled heating phases, allow the heating to be automatically turned down when the window is open or provide information about the heating behaviour in the house...

Behind HomePilot is the Franco-German company Rademacher, known for its roller shutter motors, for example. The most expensive product was not convincing when tested. The system looks old-fashioned and has few functions. The controllers measure quite inaccurately, operate somewhat loudly and slowly. Control commands are delayed by at least 2 minutes.
