I have not used mine with ice, but I do use it routinely with frozen fruit. For this it works well. I would be careful with ice cubes - not too big, not too hard. I don’t think the motor was intended for intense crushing.

Hello, yes, there is a double wall that keeps the water cool for about 2 hours.
