The carbon steel pan is an excellent alternative to coated Teflon pans. While Teflon coatings wear out with use, the properties and non-stick quality of the carbon steel pan improve with each use. A well-maintained carbon steel pan develops a natural non-stick surface made from carbon and fat, thus a frequently used carbon steel pan matches the cooking properties of cast iron and the non-stick quality of Teflon pans. You can use metal utensils with the pan.

Monart Poele is pre-treated and coated with beeswax at the factory. Before the first use, wash the pan with warm water to remove storage dust and any excess beeswax. The small amount of wax left does not hinder but rather helps with the initial use of the pan. It is also advisable to season the pan with oil before the first use.

Suitable for all heat sources and stovetops, including induction cooktops. The frying pan can also be used in the oven (200 °C max 10 min).
