The VH6.1L+ Dutch Oven is made of cast iron and features legs at the bottom. The lid has a raised edge and also has legs. Cast iron is a material that retains heat well and for a long time, making it suitable for any heat source. The pot has a capacity of 6.1 liters, while the lid has a capacity of 2 liters. Thanks to the legs on the lid, you can place it directly on the heat source without smothering the heat. The lid can also be used as a pan. The raised edge allows you to place charcoal on the lid, creating an oven function in the Dutch oven. The VH6.1L has legs at the bottom, making it suitable for a campfire, a 3-leg setup, or with briquettes underneath. The Valhal Outdoor Pans are factory-treated with a natural oil, so you can essentially use your pan right away. For optimal results, we recommend seasoning it a few times. Although cast iron does not have a non-stick coating, it develops a patina that provides these properties. Proper use and maintenance are important to create and maintain this patina.
