The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing made of high-quality plastic, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum allowable sensor temperature of 60 °C. The coiled sensor, made of high-quality stainless steel, has a diameter of 17 mm and is mounted on the side of the housing. If needed, the sensor can also be attached to the opposite side. The maximum allowable ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 50 °C. The housing is mounted directly on the lower part of the housing for wall installation. Using a setpoint adjuster, the desired switching temperature can be easily set on a scale. The temperature controller features a high switching point accuracy of +/-3% in the upper third of the scale. The built-in temperature compensation minimizes the influence of ambient temperature on the switching head. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via PushIn terminals, significantly reducing installation time compared to conventional screw connections. The maximum allowable switching power is AC 230 volts / 16 A. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 1.5 to 2 K and automatically switches back to its original state after falling below the cutoff temperature by this value. The temperature controller is very versatile and can be used for room temperature monitoring as well as in building automation. It is also applicable in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology. Additional application areas include temperature monitoring in laboratory and climate cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has EAC certification.
