The Marella comes with a compatible MAXTRA+ filter cartridge. This reduces limescale as well as odor- and taste-disturbing substances like chlorine. The tap water flows through the filter cartridge by gravity, which contains a mixture of ion exchange resin and activated carbon.

A new PerfectFit system with a valve ensures that the BRITA MAXTRA+ filter cartridge fits perfectly in the funnel, allowing all the water to be reliably filtered without any bypass.
