Question about Philips Hue Gradient Ambiance Basis
I would like to integrate the light strip into my existing Ambilight from the TV. At the moment I have a simple, single-colour light strip that works well with Ambilight but only displays one colour and no colour gradients. Would Gradient display all the colour gradients of the TV (i.e. it would be virtually the same as the original Ambilight) or does the TV only pass on the signal of one colour and I have no added value compared to a simple light strip?
It only depends on the presence of this Ambilight control unit AND the TV signal from the tuner: in my case it only worked via SAT dish, external receiver/tuner, Ambilight control unit and then into the TV. In the meantime, we have an OLED LG TV with integrated tuner, so we no longer have an Ambilight (controlled by the "colourful" TV signal), but only a background light that can be set in different colours.
