Philips Wake-Up Light
Is it possible to adjust the brightness of the display so that it doesn't light up at all at night? I like it pitch black.
Unfortunately, no. The display should actually adjust automatically depending on the brightness of the room. But it was always too bright for me, even in the darkest mode. In general, I would not buy this alarm clock. The FM radio, function keys and menu control are from the last millennium. There is a competing product from Nokia (Whitings) or simply install a few HUE lightbulbs in the room and set the time via the app.
I have reduced the display brightness of my alarm clock to the minimum. After about 5 seconds, the display switches off completely and only comes back on when the alarm clock goes off.
The brightness can be regulated in four levels. 1 weak to 4 strong. The display cannot be turned off completely. I cannot judge by eye whether it regulates itself further down, as the eye can regulate itself strongly. The strongest level, 4, has never bothered me. The colour is a pleasant evening red.
