We have the lamp at home in our office, which contains 2 large desks. The illumination is very good, especially due to the indirect lighting via the white ceiling and walls.
I would say that if you don't have a larger than average living room or a wall and ceiling colour other than white, the lamp will do a good to very good job.

Moin, in my opinion the light intensity of the lamp is sufficient for a living room of approx. 20-24 square metres.
